Unfortunately, chronic poverty and an "entitlement mentality" aka "lack of work ethic" all too frequently go hand
in hand. There's been multiple generations now, who've been raised to believe money magically appears in the mailbox every month. And they're raising their own offspring in an environment openly contemptuous of legal, productive work.
Classist is just a label, to deflect scrutiny of the sad reality, that there's a whole population of "parents" out there who pass on freeloading as their "legacy".
Shame on them. Our children, and theirs, deserve better.
